fSDC is a member of the Disabled Children and Young People’s Advisory Group (DCYPAG). Chaired by the, Children and Families Directorate Scottish Government.
We have 4 members of the fSDC Co-ordination group attending the DCYPAG group – Willie Rutherglen fSDC Chair and parent, Alasdair O’Hara, fSDC member and NDCS, Salena Begley fSDC member and Family Fund and Susan Walls fSDC Vice Chair and Contact.
DCYPAG has a broad membership of organisations and charities attending the meetings and working closely with Scottish Government on policy and practice of disabled children’s rights and services. One particular area of work for a sub group of DCYPAG is Transition, the changes for young people age 16 to 25.

fSDC is a member of the The Health and Social Care Alliance (The Alliance) GIRFEC Advisory Group which provide support & challenge for and with The Alliance Getting to know GIRFEC programmes.
Susan Walls is current Chair of the group, bringing views of parents through the work of Contact and as fSDC representative on the group.
