About the liaison project
"We’re committed to giving all of our young people the chance to fulfil their potential, including disabled youngsters, by intervening early to offer support. The ambition and optimism displayed by Scotland’s young people is an inspiration to us all and disabled children are no exception. That’s why this government is working to support families with disabled children and young people and to ensure they enjoy the same opportunities as other families.
"The FSDC liaison project will help us do just that, bringing together a range of organisations and professionals with different skills and expertise to help support the delivery of effective services that meet the needs of all disabled children and young people. By driving forward with practical changes on the ground, tailored to individual families and communities, we can make a real difference to the lives of disabled young people across Scotland."
Adam Ingram MSP, former Minister for Children and Early Years
The liaison project consists of an policy manager Nicki James - and a policy assistant - Donna Tomlin.
