As for the canine partners, application, I had my home visit from occupational therapy and it seemed to go ok, that is to say they are happy that I will be able to cope at home looking after the dog and with some support I should do great. Canine Partners, the charity who trains the dogs have been great and I think really want to pair up everyone with the best dog and make it as stress free as possible. However getting some of the practical things like the dog toilet out side my flat done is proving stressful as council are taking ages to agree lowering  a kerb so that I can clean up after the Dog. Sounds like a fairly straight forward thing to fix, but it has caused a lot of stress. Not knowing all the laws and want it means, as well as knowing how to get my views across and stressing how important this is for my independence and trying to get that to the right people…. is really challenging. I know it will work out in the end but it often feels like fighting for the simplest of things takes the most energy but I am not giving up and having this space to share with peeps helps.  If anyone has any stress management that doesn’t involve punching something I would love to hear from you. Lol :-)
