Time for another update
I could see him loosing weight fast and because he was put into an adult ward I wasn't really kept up to date with his progress. Dr had told me that he needed the gallbladder out but they kept puting it off as his consultant was going off on holiday. On the 5th day Connor was discharged and told that he would get a date to have his gallbladder removed. We are still waiting on that date and he is struggling to gain weight or eat properly. Connor is a complicated case as the Dr thinks that he is a bit too young to have a diseased gallbladder and because he has a large liver and spleen the surgery will not be straight forward.
Connor has started his med for his ADHD, he couldn't get Concerta because of his heart so he is on Strattera but it is early days yet to see if it is going to make a difference. He has settled into college now and is loving it. Most things are in place for him but he is waiting on his laptop still.
My baby is going to be 18 next week, my can't believe it he's made it yippee!. I was told that he wouldn't see his 1st Birthday, boy! weere they all wrong. His journey has been difficult but he got here at his own pace and for that I Thank God. We are going to go out for a Birthday dinner then on Saturday we are having a wee party to celebrate, after all it's a very very big achievement.
Lee is struggling at the moment. He was suffering from headaches and memory loss which has been rather worrying. The GP gave him Gabapentin and Tramadol. She seems to think that he has nerve damage but did not do anything for him really but pass the buck to the psychiatrist who he will see next Friday. He is hearing voices again and is a bit worried as he has never been in hospital for his condition and doesn't want to go either but he is quite aware of what is going on and talks to me about it. Lee doesn't always know when he is becoming ill and understands how I worry.
He has started to volunteer at a Lookahead project. It helps people who are ill get back on the road to recovery. He is teaching art which is fantastic and they are teaching him the theory part of driving. This is fantastic also as Lee already had some driving lessons and was ready for his theory test but he just didn't have the confidence to do it.
Well I think that's all the knews that I have for now. I will update soon x
